The Movement Before the Moment

This past week, I spent three full days immersed in a virtual conference alongside other creatives working on their craft and the business behind their work.
It was inspiring, overwhelming, energizing, and focusing.
Being in that environment reminded me there is always room to grow in how we approach our work—with greater intention, preparation, and professionalism.
One message stayed with me: Be prepared for your success.
Success begins long before an opportunity arrives. It begins with refining your craft, strengthening your vision, and preparing yourself to meet the moment when it comes.
As a dance/movement therapist, I often talk about movement through the body. This week reminded me that movement also happens in the mind.
It happens when we shift from uncertainty to intention.
When we continue developing our work, even while the outcome is still unfolding.
When we prepare for the opportunities we believe are coming.
Sometimes, the most meaningful movement happens before anyone else can see it.
What are you preparing yourself to be ready for?
