The Constant

Lately, I’ve been thinking about consistency.
I’ve stayed consistent with going to the gym, and I’ve noticed what that practice gives me, the opportunity to challenge my body, feel my strength, focus my attention, and reconnect with myself.
But consistency can be easy to lose.
Life gets busy. Routines change. We get tired. Sometimes a few missed days become a few weeks, and before we know it, something that was once part of our rhythm has faded into the background.
It made me think about what it actually means to be consistent with movement.
Maybe consistency doesn’t have to mean doing the same thing, in the same place, in the same way.
Some days, it might be the gym.
Other days, a walk.A dance.A stretch. And sometimes, even a moment of intentional stillness.
Our bodies change. Our energy changes. Our circumstances change. So perhaps the way we move can change with them.
The constant doesn’t have to be the activity itself.
The constant is finding ways to keep movement a part of our lives.
It can change in intensity. It can change in form. It can change from one day to the next.
Maybe consistency isn’t about never getting off track.
Maybe it’s simply about finding what feels right for you—and continuing to move from there.
